Awareness

Unfortunately, sexual harassment, discrimination, and inappropriate behavior occur virtually everywhere where people meet and interact with each other. This includes our events. That is why we have an awareness team at every event. These are trained individuals who are there as your first point of contact if someone harasses you or you feel uncomfortable. No matter what happens, you can always approach them! You can recognize awareness team members by their fairy lights.

If something happens outside of events, you can also contact the awareness team members during orientation week or the permanent awareness officers.
There is an awareness cell phone that you can call or write to on WhatsApp and Signal. You can find the number in your orientation newspaper or in the student council office. Otherwise, you can also use our anonymous reporting system or send an email to awareness (at) fsmath-bonn.de.

The Equal Opportunities Department conducts training about twice a year, and most of the student representatives are now trained. If you are interested, you can contact awareness (at) fsmath-bonn.de.
