The FSR has many responsibilities, including most of the things you find here on this website. In addition, the FSR is the first point of contact for all student council matters, both for students and for university representatives. The meetings are usually held in German, but can be held in English if requested.
On Wednesday the 10th of June at 6pm there is a Mental Health Group Talk in SR 1.007 about “Non-Exam-Related Pressure to Perform”. They give you the opportunity to meet other students who might have encountered the same problems as you or struggle with other mental health concerns right now. The rules are explained at the beginning of the Group Talk, so please try to be on time. The Group Talk will be in English. We aim to create a safe space for you, to either share your experiences, give support to others, or just listen in. This time, we want to introduce you to our latex template with which you'll be able to submit your essay in a nice format later. We'll also work on improving the setup of the template, so if you have latex expertise, feel free to work with us! Then, you will have the opportunity to start writing your essay or discuss ideas.
Hi everyone, Next Friday, the Flunkyball tournament will take place. You can compete against other teams in groups of 4 to 6 players. Before each match, both alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks will be available at cost price. The winning teams will receive a small prize, but of course the main focus is on having fun. Dear Students, On Tuesday, June 23, we are hosting a chess tournament. The tournament will consist of 7 rounds using the Swiss system, with 5 minutes per game and a 5-second increment per move. We recommend that you register before the tournament via chess@uni-bonn.de, as there is a maximum of 45 participants. The FSV can be seen as the legislative part of the student council or simply as the parliament. Main task of the FSV is to set guidelines for the FSR and to keep an eye on the fulfilment of those. As summer arrived, we decided to have another Queer Picnic. We welcome all queers, allies and everyone who is insecure about it joining to meet on Tuesday, June 9th, starting at 6:15 PM, on the lawn behind the mathematics building. Come enjoy the vibe, or join the conversations! We’ll have a short introduction round at 6:30 PM. Afterward, there will be open space for smaller group discussions on queer topics you’re interested in—this could be a book you’ve read, a queer topic you’ve been thinking about, or anything else you’d like to explore. There will also be groups for light socializing, so you can choose your level of engagement.
